(Formerly LGBT Wrexham and District)
North East Wales Lesbian Gay Bisexual and Transgender Foundation (Formerly LGBT Wrexham and District) was pioneered in 2006 to explore ways of developing services for LGBT communities in North East Wales. .
The organisation has recently changed its name to The North East Wales Lesbian Gay Bisexual and Transgender Foundation which seeks to represent and be a voice for LGBT communities throughout North East Wales, to offer a safe and confidential space for meetings and social gatherings, to liaise closely with statutory and non-statutory organisations, to provide advice, information, guidance, support and training appropriate to the needs of the LGBT communities and their friends. It also seeks to provide opportunities for social, emotional, mental and physical stimulation of LGBT people throughout North East Wales through regular events and activities.
The organisation is managed by a committee of volunteers including a Chair, Secretary and Treasurer.
