North East Wales Lesbian Gay Bisexual and Transgender Foundation
About our organisation...
North East Wales Lesbian Gay Bisexual and Transgender Foundation (Formerly LGBT Wrexham and District) was pioneered by Keith Drury in 2006 due to recognising the need to develop additional services to his already established LGB and Friends Dining Club. In acknowledging that due to his limitations he felt the time had come to set up an organisation that would solely be managed by LGBT people in exploring ways of developing services in order to meet the needs of LGBT communities throughout North East Wales. As a result LGBT Wrexham and District was born which changed its name in March 2008 to represent and reflect a wider geographical area -namely North East Wales. The group is now called North East Wales Lesbian Gay Bisexual and Transgender Foundation and is managed by a group of LGBT people.
